LUBIRC Breakfast Seminar – Johanna Generosi, STEPS
Moving into Phase II of ‘Sustainable Plastics and Transition Pathways’
Our next LUBIRC Breakfast Seminar will be given by?Johanna Generosi,?Project Manager at the central Lund University Cooperation office, and Program Coordinator of the MISTRA-funded STEPS research program. STEPS has been running since 2016, aiming to advance research and development into sustainable plastic products and how society interacts with them. In 2020, the first four-year phase of the program concluded, and Phase II began. In this seminar, Johanna will fill us in on what the main takeaways from Phase I were, and what the aims are for Phase II. How has the topic of plastics in a sustainable society evolved since the program first started?
Johanna will also talk a little about the pros and cons of working within and managing such a large research consortium, and the importance of sustainable, long-term funding.
